Monthly Update on Our Journey with Tina and Larry

Now that Spring is here, Tina and Larry are enjoying the warmer weather.  Larry likes to hang out in his paddock by slowly walking around and taking naps while standing up!  Tina, on the other hand, , seems to enjoy taking her naps lying down.  At first we thought she might not be feeling well, but after several vet checks, it turns out --wait for it--- she's just a bit lazy!  And she should be, given her previous life of heavy labor.  You go for those naps, Tina.  You deserve them!

In terms of training, we are in the process of modifying our existing cart to make it more balanced for the team to pull.  We are also procuring custom made bridles for them, as their Haflinger heads don't seem to fit in regular sizes.  So we decided to have them custom fit to make them much more comfortable for Tina and Larry.  We owe a big thank you to the East Hampton/Marlborough Rotary Club for giving us a grant to help with these costs.  They support us every year and we are sooo grateful.
